When you become an idol, it’s almost like you are going into a monogamy relationship with an entity called “fans.” You are to love them as a whole but not to be close with any one particular person. Your fans spend time and money on you under the trusted norm that you will stay single at least…

♥Very important imo. This explains the whole ~why idols can’t have boyfriends~ thing really well. It truly is idol rule . If you can ‘t accept this fact .. than .. idk ( ；´Д｀)♥

Hello everyone ~ This is Homecoro! In this post I will be talking about … Makeup!ヾ(＠⌒ー⌒＠)ノ ~ It ‘s rather shortbut there isn ‘t to much to say about this topic ww

1.♥) “Do I have to wear makeup? ” . No! You don ‘t have to at all . “Do you suggest that I wear makeup?” . Yes , I strongly do ww! Here are some misconceptions About makeup . No, makeup isn’t used to make ~ugly~ girls pretty. No one is ugly firstly . But besides, makeup is used to enhance ones features . Maybe to bring out the eyes or the cheeks! Makeup is so versatile and can be used for many reasons . Don ‘t think applying makeup turns you into a ~ old women ~ or someone who is so insecure .

2.♥）I would suggest to not apply so much either . I don’t care at all when it comes to random people~ But I am specifially talking about idols. And for idols, makeup is something you should wear rather little of. Not alot of overbearing dark eyeliner or crazy eye shadows. For the most part , you want to look more ” girl-next-door ” or “youthful” so simple makeup is best! Just the basics and not to much of it! ( a bit of eyeliner, mascara, foudation , blush, concelear if u need it blahblahblah ) A lot of people use white eyeliner/eyeshadow for the inner corners of the eyes to make them look brighter, larger, and more awake!

3.♥) For a concert, performance, event or whatever.. I would suggest to apply more . Onstage with all that lighting , your face can look flushed, tired, and not on point. So , I would think about that before a performance!

Lets be honest here, you won’t become an idol in Japan unless you of course, move there or stay there for long periods of time . . If you don ‘t plan on moving to Japan ever, than maybe this isn’t the best aspiration for you. This is a very complicated and arduous process anyways. The chances of you getting a chance like Beckii Cruel is very little. So please don’t believe you’ll magically get picked up and sent there! It’s a sad but true realization .

so , basically you ‘d like to be a netidol♫? Well , I highly suggest doing things such as broadcasts and internet lives. On sites such as Niconico douga , ustream, blogtv . Make accounts on alot of accounts and be active. I made a post on gaining fans ! ( here ) . Post alot of pictures of yourself also! Also , you ‘d have to study Japanese alot .

Perform in Japan sometimes? Well , I would suggest emailing companies and asking them if you could perform at one of their events. This is what Yuka did with Marvel Yell . I hope that helped ; U ; ..

I ‘d suggest a better camera, a nicer and more spread out location ( I hope you understand what I mean u3u ) and maybe more variation in clothes . Besides that, I think you are really pretty and you are a good dancer! I hope that helps ; A ;

It ‘s your choice honestly! I like choosing an idol name because it’s fun and a good way to come up with something new, cute, and different . (But, that’s just me, haha.) You don ‘t even have to change ur name entirely! You could make ur name Ella-chu , Ella-nyan and so on . If you would want more originality or something.

I would only strongly suggest a change in idolname or choosing an idol name if it ‘s taken by someone else in the idol community and it isn ‘t a popular everyday name ( i don ‘t want to say this but two Yukapons or two Keekihimes is awkward o3o;; and some everyday names are used by TOO many people and can cause confusion . ex.Abbie ) or if it doesn ‘t sound good or it has an awkward pronounciation . I don ‘t think Ella has an awkward pronounciation though !

But y-yeah . . I don ‘t know how to help with this one! Mainly because this one is entirely up to you ; U ; . . i ‘m so sorry >

If you want to become a netidol , than one main tip is to try and take nice professional ( more so ,professional looking ) pictures and upload them every now and than . Shoko, Keekihime, Yukapon, Beckii . . They all do this. Taking pictures is important because well . . Your viewers want to see you! The biggest aspect of an idol is the look. It doesn’t matter what kind of idol you want to become, the overall look is a huge deal .

What kind of pictures should you take? Well that’s your choice! You can think about theme, setting, maybe even add a silly storyline to it! You can do a cute cooking or baking themed photoshoot in your kitchen in a cute apron or maid uniform. A student moe moe photoshoot in a seifuku . A simple no-themed photoshoot in a cute outfit of your liking. Or even a cute forest fairy type thing in your backyard. Honestly, the choices are endless . Do what you like and what you think fits you. If you need ideas or tips you can simply ask us!

How do you take nice pictures? If you have a nice photographer friend or just access to a photographer in general, jump on that! But sadly, most of us don’t. In this case, I simply suggest some kind of tripod and a camera with a timer. It’s not as great as a photographer but it can work as well! Choose a nice open setting with good lighting. This can be anything from your room, the park, kitchen, backyard etcetcetc. Natural sunlight looks best so taking pictures outside is better for alot of people who aren’t so great with working with indoor lighting. For lighting inside, I suggest turning on all the lights in the room and if it’s daytime, opening the window shades.

Hi, I’m going anon, since I am a shy person. But I do know about pop culture and idols, that I think is good to share.

Most people aspire to be idols. But it’s not good if you don’t know much about Japanese culture, especially pop culture. You’re at a bit of a disadvantaged since/if you’re not Japanese or live in Japan.

Who are the popular groups? Who are the top actors/actresses? What is Ashida Mana known for? What are the popular karaoke songs and dramas for the season?

Those kind of things are good to know. Especially if you try to hold to conversations or make jokes, you can’t rely on anime and manga alone (´・ω・｀)

I had that problem when trying to interact with Japanese people at first. I was a bit interested in the culture but nothing much. So I was quite at a lost with topics to talk about. However when I researched and found celebrities I liked, I suddenly knew what to talk about. ＼(^o^)／

Japanese people will praise you on your knowledge and it’ll help them see you as a regular person rather than ‘the foreigner’. They’ll be able to take you seriously. Also if you aspire to make a breakthrough as an actor/singer/model/etc (since it’s unusual to be an idol when you hit a certain age range), it’d be helpful.
